History:

On October 1969, Rev. Emilio Martinez and his wife came to the city of Harrisburg, Pa. concerning their job. As they came across the city, they felt in their hearts the necessity for a Hispanic church, where the Hispanic community could come and worship the Lord. This burden was in their hearts and on June 1970, they started a house to house call, giving the Hispanic God’s plan of salvation.

On August of the same year the First Hispanic Christian Church of Harrisburg was founded. Worship service began in the United Methodist Church on 15th and Derry street which Rev. Gerald Stutzman was the Pastor.

The congregation had grown and on June of 1974 we moved to our own church on 1418 Derry street. The congregation continued to grow so fast that the building on Derry street became very small for the people that came to worship.

On August 11, 1984 we moved to 125 South 13th Street.

On June 7, 2009, Rev. Emilio and Ana Martinez retired from the Pastoral Ministry to pursue their Bishop Duties of the Bilingual Christian Fellowship.

As of 2009, Rev. Roque and Maggie Santiago were appointed the Senior Pastors of the First Bilingual Christian Church of Harrisburg, PA. The Santiago’s work as a team taking the Gospel to the nations, making disciples for the Lord Jesus Christ.
